William Leroy Salyer


William Leroy Salyer, 62, of Blaine Avenue in Richwood, died Sunday even-ing, Aug. 1, at Marion General Hospital.
He was bom on Nov. 13,1930, in Magnetic Springs to Virgil and Clarabelle (Shark) Salyer and his mother survives in Richwood.
A Korean Conflict Army veteran, he was retired from the Anheuser-Busch Recycling Corp. in Marion where he was a maintenance mechanic.
He was a member of the Richwood First Baptist Church, die American Legion Baccarat Post No. '40 and United Steelworkers of America Local 8828.
He is survived by his wife, the former Judy Pfarr, whom he married June 3, 1972, in Richwood.
Also surviving are five daughters, Renee Salyer, Richwood, Mrs. James (Christy) LeMasters, Georgia, Mrs. James (Jody) Cullman, Ml. Victory, Karen Marshall, Dublin and Mrs. Kip (Kim) Tallman of Ml. Victory; a son Neil Salyer of Mansfield; 11 grandchildren, a brother, Don Salyer, of Richwood, and a sister, Mrs. Dan (Karen) Converse, Richwood.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood where calling hours will be Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with the Rev. Wilbur Boyer officiating.
Burial will be in the Claibourne Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the Richwood American Legion and VFW. Contributions may be made to the Richwood Emergency Squad and the North Union Athletic Boosters.
