J. Russell Oldham


LARUE — J. Russell Oldham, 70, 4054 Ground Hog Road, died Saturday morning March 20, 1993 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was bom Jan. 9,1923, in Hancock County to the late Ranny B. and Mollie M. Lincicum Oldham. He married Lila R. Harriman on March 9, 1952. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Lynn L. Oldham, Richwood, Clairen R. Oldham and Kevin E. Oldham, both LaRue; three daughters, Mrs. Brad (Blaine) Smith, Green Camp, Mrs. Phillip (Mama) Winslow and Lisa R. Schwaderer, both of LaRue; a brother, Robert G. Oldham, Mount Victory; and
13 grandchildren.
Four brothers and a sister are deceased.
Mr. Oldham was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was a member of the Meeker United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. John T. Schlicher officiating. Burial is in LaRue Cemetery. There will be military rites at the cemetery conducted by the Phillippi-Clements Post 101 American Legion, LaRue.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday and also the evening.
