Barbara A. Hoffman


RICHWOOD — Barbara A. Hoffman, 70. 11594 Huber Hazen Road, died early Saturday morning February 20, 1993 at Heartland Nursing Home, Marysville, following an illness of two years.
She was born April 20, 1922 in Tuscaloosa, Ala., a daughter of Howard
and Edna Gibbs Anders.
The homemaker was a Magnetic Springs High School graduate, was a former 4-H advisor, and a former member of theRichwood Library board. She was a member of Essex United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, and a member of Mount Carmel Chapter 21 Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Hoffman had also been a member of the Carpe Diem Club, Union County Republican Women's Club, Richwood Lions Club and Jackson Grange.
On Feb. 27,1943, in Columbus, she married Harold Hoffman, and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Mark and Eric Hoffman, Richwood; three daughters, Mrs. John (Carol) Ekerdt, Austin, Texas, Mrs. Herman (Donna) S teel e, Qui nton, Va., and Mrs. Jon (Kay) McAfee, Toledo; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Jane) Cowgill and Mrs. Marjorie Moon, Richwood, Mrs. Tom (Mary) Adams, Jackson, Miss.; and eight grandchildren.
The service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home with the Rev. Bernard Kenney officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery.
Serving .as pallbearers will be Larry Anderson, Mike Hoffman, Rick Hoffman, Mike Temple, Edd McNickle and Bill Parish.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home where an Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Essex UM Church memorial fund.
