Merle Edith Miller


Merle Edith Miller, 97,20161 County Road 245, Mount Victory, died Tuesday Oct 13, 1992 at the Hardin County Home, Kenton.
She was born Aug. 14, 1895 in Geneva, Neb., a daughter of Harry L. and Luetta Thomas Davis.
The homemaker was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, LaRue. and its Women's Guild. She was a former member of Painter Creek Grange and Diocesan Council of Catholic Women.
Her husband, Charles C. Miller, whom she married Aug. 28, 1915 in Cheyenne, Neb., died May 21, 1960.
Mrs. Miller is survived by four sons, C. Wilbur Miller, Mount Victory, John H. Miller, Ferrum, Va., Carl E. Miller, Marion, and Robert L. Miller, St. Henry; two daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Mildred) Ralston, Washington, Pa., and Mrs. George (Rose) Johnson, Mount Victory; a sister, Mrs. Clay (Retta) Waggoner, Lincoln, Neb.; 25 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral Mass will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, LaRue, with Father Joseph Losh officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Marion.
Friends may call at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, where parish prayers will be held 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church.
