Herbert John Garee

Aug 12, 1992 RICHWOOD — The service for Herbert John Garee, 73, 14058 Seminole Path, Lakeview, formerly Rich-wood, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Stofcheck Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Weston Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by Richwood American Legion Post 40 and VFW Post 870.
Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to as charity of the donor's choice.
Mr. Garee died early Wednesday at Riverside Hospital, Columbus, fllow-ing a brief illness.
He was born in Sunbury Jan. 27, 1919, a son of Claude A, and Permilla Jennings Garee.
He retired 1981 from employment as a welder with Lennox Industries, Columbus, after 31 years of service, and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 3615 Lakeview, tand former member of Pharisburg United Method-ist Church.
His wife, the former Audrey Eileen Middleton, died Jan. 10, 1989. They were married July 31, 1943 in Rich-wood.
Surviving are a son, John J. Garee, Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Diane) Wheeler, Marion; two brothers, Cecil Garee, Delaware, and James Garee, Cardington; two sisters, Mrs. Jane Sanderson, Marysville, and;
Mrs. Joan Smith, Columbus; and three
grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased.
