Nellie Claire Herick

Nellie Claire Herick, 83, 315 N. High St., LaRue, died at 3:31 a.m. Wednesday June 5, 1991 in MedCenter Hospital.
She was bom April 23, 1908, in Wheatland, Wyo., to James Joseph and Demaris Claire Colvin Burton.
On Dec. 26,1925, she married John P. Daly, who died April 7, 1951. Her husband Daryl Herick, whom she married in 1960, died in 1977.
The homemaker was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, LaRue; St. Joseph Women's Guild; D.C.C.W., and had served as a chairperson for Catholic Charities. She was a former housekeeper for a priest serving the LaRue parish.
Surviving are four sons, Thomas Patrick Daly, Birmingham, Ala., Richard Joseph Daly, Granville, John Michael Daly, Sacramento, Calif., and James Francis Daly, LaRue; three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Rose) Benson, LaRue, Mrs. Ralph (Nancy) Vehom, Maria Stein, and Mrs. Paul (Mary) Buyer, Rich-wood; a brother, Richard C. Burton, Chatanooga, Tenn.; 35 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren.
The funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Church by Father Joseph F. Losh. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marion.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. and Sunday evening at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, where a prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Women's Guild.
