Lester L. Eblin


Lester L. Eblin of Richwood died Wednesday, April 10, 1991 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born Oct 16,1911, in Gallia County and lived all his life in Marion and Union counties.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Marcus and Mary (Hughes) Eblin, four sisters and a brother.
He married Margaret Thomas on July 27, 1935, in Marion. She survives.
Also surviving are: a brother, Charles Eblin of Marion; two nephews, James Price and Thomas Guy, both of Marysville; a niece, Mary Huddleston of Delaware; and many other nieces and nephews and cousins.
He worked on the railroad in Marion before coming to Richwood in 1937, where he farmed until his retirement in 1976. During his lifetime he served on the Richwood Fair Board, enjoyed square dance clubs in central Ohio and enjoyed helping others. He was of the Methodist faith.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Eblin, Calvin Eblin, Jack Orr, Kenny Pritch-ard, Kenny Van Zant and Eddy Schambs with honorary pallbearers Don Debolt, Dee Dendinger, Paul Grose, Gene Clady, Bob Clady and Walter Pritchard.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood with the Rev. Fred Cheney officiating. Burial will be in the Marion Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union County-Cancer Society.
