Ralph Dale Ashworth


Former LaRue resident Ralph Dale Ashworth, 85, Columbus, died Saturday evening Feb 23, 1991 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus.
He was bom Jan. 30,1906, in Athens County, a son of Otho Foster and Kate Cummings Ashworth.
Retired from the Ross Willoughby Co., Columbus, he had at one time owned and operated a restaurant in Columbus and had also been employed with Tracy-Wells Hardware, Columbus.
He was a member of LaRue Lodge 463 F&AM and was past worthy patron of Ralph Rickly Chapter 468 Order of the Eastern Star, Columbus.
His wife, the former Glendora Buck, died June 4, 1978. They were married June 10, 1936.
Mr. Ashworth is survived by five nephews, Foster Hawk and Joe Hyme, Lancaster, Doyle Sargent, Pomeroy, Kenneth Story, Florida, and Larry Buck, New Bloomington; three nieces, Dr. Linda Buck, Columbus, Kay Ellen Collins and Betty Buck Heisel, Marion; and a half sister, Helen Marie Groves, Leesburg. Two brothers and six sisters are deceased.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grand Prairie Cemetery with the Rev. Dave Elliott officiating. Calling hours will not be observed.
Arrangements are being handled by Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dis- orders Association.
