Pearl Parker


Pearl Parker, 98, LaRue, died at 6:45 a.m. Friday Feb 22, 1991 at Community Nursing Center, Marion.
The longtime LaRue resident was born Nov. 7, 1892 to James L. McGuire and Mary Ellen (Hinklin) McGuire.  
She was preceded in death by her husband George Washington Parker on July 18, 1931; A twin brother and a sister also preceded her in death.
She was a member of LaRue United Methodist Church, where she j had served as treasurer; a life member of Mary Lenox Chapter 98-OES; the William Hendrix Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; a member of the former Bowling Green Grange; the W.S\J. Club and was a 4-H adviser for more than 25 years. The homemaker was an avid stamp collector.
Surviving is one son, T. L. Parker, LaRue; three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Doris) Chambers, New Blooming-ton; Mrs.' Paul (Marie) Schlaudroff, Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Mrs. George (Betty Lou) Hopkins, Stockport; Ohio; a sister, Mrs. John (Zoa) Pixler, Marion, 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at LaRue - United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Elliott. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery.
Friends may-call at Stofcheck Fu-neral Home, LaRue, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, An Eastern Star memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
