Clyde Rogers


RICHWOOD - Clyde Rogers, 85, died Tuesday night Dec 4, 1990 in his home here.
He was bom April 19,1905, in West Branch, Mich., to Charles and Lillie Strine Rogers.
On Sept. 4, 1938, in Greenup, Ky., he married Arvilla Mae "Peggy" Can-Rogers, who survives.
Before retiring, he was a timekeeper for the Ohio Department of Transportation Garage, Delaware; and he owned and operated the former Horseshoe Grill. He was a member of Community United Calvary Church and a charter member of Richwood Matinee Club and was active in harness racing.
Also surviving are a son, Harry E. Rogers, Russells Point; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Pitchford, Richwood; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. A brother and three sisters are deceased.
The service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Community United Calvary Church by the Rev. Fred Cheney. Burial will be in Claibourne Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-9 p.m. Thursday at the residence at 11800 Landon Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Richwood Matinee Club or the church.
