Marcel Zelek, 72, 647 N. Section St., LaRue, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday Aug 1, 1990 in the emergency room of MedCenter Hospital.
He was bom Oct. 5, 1917, in Evan-ston, 111. On Oct 29, 1981, he married Anna Lee Winters Buck Zelek, who survives. He was an Army cook during World War II and before retiring was employed in construction work. The member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, LaRue, wintered about 45 years in Florida, the last nine years of which he spent in Ocean Breeze Park, Jenson Beach, Fla. Also surviving are a stepson, Larry G. Buck, New Bloomington; a stepdaughter, Dr. Linda Lee Buck, Columbus; and two stepgrandchildren. Four brothers and two sisters are deceased. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Meeker Cemetery by the Rev. Bernard Mc-Clory. Contributions may be made to the Heart Fund or Diabetes Association.
