Leo Emerson Miller


Leo Emerson Miller, 63, 427 DeC-liff Road, New Bloomington, died early this morning July 17, 1990 at his home.
He was bom Dec. 29, 1926, a son of the late Emmet J. and Gertrude K. Rohr Miller.
Retired from employment as a sewing machine repairman with the former Plastic Film Corporation after 23 years of service, Mr. Miller was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a former member of Phillippi Clement American Legion Post 101.
On Nov. 10, 1951, he married the former Erma L. Oehler, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Thomas E. Miller, - Marion; a daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Shirley) Green, Prospect; two brothers, James Miller, LaRue, and Charles Miller, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Donald (Mary) Fown, LaRue; and three grandchildren. A brother is deceased.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, LaRue, with Father Robert Schneider officiating. Burial with American Legion graveside service will be in LaRue Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church.
