Charles Othel Watkins

Charles Othel Watkins, 65, 134 Swain Ave., LaRue, died Saturday evening Jan 6, 1990 at his home.
He was born here April 30, 1924, the son of Othel and Margarretta Paulsen Watkins.
Retired from employment as a machinist with Marion Power Shovel Co. Dresser Industries, he also had been employed with Ridgway Hatchery, LaRue. Mr. Watkins was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Meeker United Methodist Church, Meeker Sportsman Club and AMVETS Post 777, Upper Sandusky.
On Feb. 2, 1974, he married the former Catherine Kobaso, who survives. Also surviving are a stepson, Delson E. Horn Jr., LaRue; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Brayton (Marilyn) Young, Galion; three stepgrandchil-dren; and several cousins. A sister is deceased.
The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Jerry Lewis officiating. Burial with military graveside service by LaRue American Legion will be in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday and in the evening. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
