Gene Speyer

RICHWOOD — Gene Speyer, 37, 27240 Kinney Pike, died unexpectedly Saturday night in Marion General Hospital.
He was born March 2, 1952, in Marion to P.J. and Ellen Hoffman Speyer, who survive in Richwood.
The design technician of location  for Ohio Department of Transportation, Delaware, graduated in 1970 from North Union High School, attended The Ohio State University and held a degree from Wilmington College. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, LaRue; Moose Lodge 1167, Delaware; and Harley Davidson Club, Dublin.
Surviving with his parents are three brothers, Joseph P. Speyer and James M. Speyer, Richwood, and Samuel J. Speyer, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Don (Julia) Thogmartin, New-comerstown, and Mrs. Charles (Sally) Corbett, Richwood; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul G. Speyer,  Richwood.
The service will be conducted at 11  a.m. Thursday in Stofcheck Funeral Home by the Rev. Dean Mathewson. Burial will be in Price Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to North Union High School Library.
