John M. Adams Sr.


RICHWOOD Feb 8, 1988 — The service for John M. Adams Sr., 78, 32727 Hamilton Road, will be 1 p.m. I'hursday in, .Stofcheck Funeral Home.
The Rev. Harley Roston will offi-iate. Burial will follow hi Price Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today after 2 p.m. and in the evening. Memorial contribution's nay be made to Essex United Meth-odist Church. V '.,
Mr. Adams died Monday evening in Marion General Hospital.
He was born in Paintsville, Ky., March 2,1909, a son of Jay and Cynthia Adams.      
Mr. Adams was engaged in farming and was retired from the Marion Power Shovel Co., where he had served for 36 years. Of Methodist faith, he was a member of the Marion County Fish and Game Club.
His wife, the former Florence N. Poling, whom he married Oct. 9, 1929, survives.
Also surviving are a son, John M. Adams Jr., Somerset, Ky.; a daughter, Joannie F. Adams, Waynesfield; a sister, Martha Bushong, Plain City; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A son, Eddie J., and a daughter, Shirley M., are deceased, as are a brother, five sisters and a grandson.
