Pauline T. Vance


RICHWOOD — RICHWOOD — Pauline T. Vance, 79, formerly Grove St., died Saturday evening March 12, 1988 in MedCenter Hospital, Marion.
She was born in Kenton Dec. 28, 1908, a daughter of Howard and Gertrude Diven Carothers.
Mrs. Vance was retired from employment with the Ohio Reformatory for Women and was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
She first was married to Chester Sam Erwin. She married Joseph Vance in February 1953, and he died in 1980.
Surviving are two sons, Chester R. Erwin Jr., Findlay, and Louis E. Erwin, Richwood; three sisters, Viola Freiadend, Bryan, and Cora Riensmith and Zola White, both Marion; 12 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. Two sons, brothers and sisters and two grandchildren are deceased.
The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Stofcheck Funeral Home with the Rev. KaySnyder officiating. Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home today after 3:30 p.m. and this evening.
