Fred L. "Roy" Reid

RICHWOOD - Fred L. "Roy" Reid, 56, 3362 Prospect-Mount Vernon Road W., Prospect, died Tuesday evening June 14, 1988 at his home following an illness.
He was born Dec. 8,1931, in Carter County, Ky., the son of the late Fred Reid and Daught Everman Reid, who survives in Kentucky.
A welder set-up man with Marion Power Shovel Co. division, Dresser Industries, Mr. Reid was a veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a member of Steelworkers Local 1949 and Prospect Baptist Church.
He married the former Alma Jean Tackett June 24, 1961, in Flem-ingsburg, Ky., who also survives.
Other survivors are a son, David, at home; a daughter, Mrs. David (Diane) Sharrok, Plain City; two sisters, Kathleen Pendley, Dayton, and Wilma Davis, Olive Hill, Ky.
A sister is deceased.
Friends may call at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood, after 2 p.m. and in the evening Thursday.
The service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Globe Funeral Home, Olive Hill, Ky., with the Rev. Lewis Davis officiating. Friends may call there Friday evening. Burial will be at Garvin Ridge Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Quality of Life hospice, Marion General Hospital.
