Walter Vernon Columber

Walter Vernon Columber, 70, 10675 LaRue-Mount Victory Road, LaRue, died at 12:30 a.m. today March 3, 1987 in Marion General Hospital.    
He was bom Sept. 9, 1916, in Marion County to Lewis William and Odda Cooper Columber.
On July 5, 1939, he married Helen Irene Temple Columber; who died April 11,1983.
The retired, maintenance electrician for Marion Power Shovel Co.,: Division Dresser Industries, was a member of the company's Twenty-Five-Year Club.
Surviving are two sons, William E, Columber, LaRue, and Robert E. Columber, Marion; a daughter, Nancy L. Higginbotham, Richwood; three brothers, Ernest Columber, Carl Columber and Donald Columber, all Marion; a sister, Mrs.'Martha Murphy, Marion; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A son, Vernon L. Columber, Marion, four brothers, two sisters and a great-grandchild are deceased.
