Margery D. Snyder


Margery D. Snyder, 8085 LaRue-Green Camp Road, LaRue, died Monday night Sept. 14, 1987 in Marion General Hospital.
She was born June 1, 1896, in LaRue,
a daughter of the late James and Ida
Jones Sager.
In April 1918 she married Harry
1975.
Mrs. Snyder was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, LaRue, the former 20th Century Club and former Bowling Green Grange. The retired school teacher graduated from LaRue High School and attended Ohio Northern University. She assisted in the development of a Marion County history book.
Surviving are three sons, Cletus D. Snyder, Upper Sandusky, John R. Snyder, LaRue, and Daniel E. Snyder, Camarillo, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Cecelia Leppo, Mansfield, Mrs. Myron (Teresa) Fields, New Bloomington, and Mrs. Roger (Elizabeth Ann) Hatcher, Bellefontaine; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Snyder, LaRue and Mrs. Ethel Pattoh, Fort Wayne, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A brother preceded her in death.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dean Mathewson officiating. Burial will follow in Fair-view Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. and through the evening Wednesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, where a rosary service will begin at 8 p.m.
