Velma Popovich


RICHWOOD — Velma Popovich, 69, Heartland of Marysville Nursing Home, died there early this morning Aug 14, 1986.
The former Richwood resident was horn in Bellaire Aug. 31,1916, a daughter of Amos and Mary Sindelar.
Coming to Richwood three years ago, she had resided in Columbus for many years and had been employed there with Curtis-Wright Co. as a machinist.
On Aug. 8, 1936, she married James Popovich, and he died May 2,1978. Mrs. Popovich was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, LaRue.
Surviving are a son, John Popovich, Richwood; a sister, Clara Meager, Bellaire; and four grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Church, LaRue, with Father Dean Mathewson officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery near Worthington.
Friends may, call at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood, after 2 p.m. and in the evening Friday. A wake service will be conducted there at 8 p.m.
