Russell H. Smith

RICHWOOD-Russell H. Smith, 63, 12169 Landon Road, Richwood, died at 4:40 a.m. Saturday at his home Aug 16, 1986.
He was born May 16, 1923 in Lewis County, Ky., a son of the late Matt and Sarah Clark Smith.
On Jan. 17, 1949, he married the former Norma Nelson. She survives.
Mr. Smith was a World War II veteran and attended the Somersville; Friends Church. He was a construction worker.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Russell "Matt" Smith, Richwood; two daughters, Mrs. John (Joy) Tull, Richwood, and Amy Smith, Richwood; four brothers, Herbert Smith, Morral, Woodrow Smith, Orville Smith and Otha Smith, all of Marion; two sisters, Flossie Clark, Edison, and Nora Mad-dix, Olive Hill, Ky.; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Three sisters and a half-brother preceded him in death.
The service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Stofcheck Funeral Home at Richwood. The Rev. Jerry Virden and the Rev. Earl A. Cosand will officiate Burial will follow in the Byhalia Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood after 2 p m Monday and Monday evening.
