Anna Elizabeth Grappy


Anna Elizabeth Grappy, 93, formerly LaRue, died Monday evening Oct. 6, 1986 in Community Nursing Center.
She was born in Findlay March 15, 1893, a daughter of William and Mary Effie Helms Stroud. A homemaker all her life, Mrs. Grappy was a member of LaRue United Methodist Church, the former Bowling Green Grange, the Happy Villagers, LaRue Senior Citizens and the Good Friends Club.
On Jan. 21,1914, she married Carl J. Grappy, and he died May 6,1975.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Ralph (LaVerne)  McMahan, Richwood, Mrs. Delbert (Margie) Greenwood, LaRue, Mrs. Ralph (Mary) Sickmiller, Caledonia, Mrs. Robert (Anna Mae) Keller, Marion, and Mrs. Robert (Lois Jean) Donnelly, Litchfield; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A brother, a sister and two grand-children preceded her in death.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rey. Edwin K. Vance officiating. Burial will follow in Fair-view Cemetery nearLaRue.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m and in the evening Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of LaRue UM Church or to the American Heart Association.
