Mayme E. Allen

Feb 20, 1973-Services for Mrs. Mayme E. Allen, 86, of 7351 Guthery Rd., LaRue, will be Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church at LaRue    with    Rev.    Robert Schneider officiating.
Mrs. Allen, the widow of. Charles H. Allen, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday in the home of a son, Robert H., in Caledonia. In failing health since July, she had been seriously ill three weeks. Her husband died July 6, 1962 after more than 57 years of marriage.
Born Aug. 25, 1886, in LaRue, she was one of three daughters and five children of John Wesley and Mary McNeff Jones. She married Mr. Allen Sept. 4, 1904, in Marion. A member of St. Joseph Church, she was a charter member of Bowling Green Grange 2335.
Surviving besides her son in Caledonia are another son, Paul K. of Largo, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Schriml of Kettering; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. John Withrow of LaRue, and a brother, John T. Jones of LaRue.
Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at Stofcheck-Ford Funeral Home in LaRue where the Rosary will be recited at 8.
The funeral arrangements were made by Timson Allen Funeral Home of Caledonia.
Favorite charity of the family is the Cancer Society.
