Dr. Jay Clinton, W,  361 N. High, LaRue
He died 1:30 p.m. Saturday July 7, 1973 at his home. He had been ill 10 months. He was born July-22, 1892, to Frank and Eva  Thuma.
On June 2, 1918, he was mar-ried to Zoe VanArsdale and she survives.
Also surviving are a son Dr. James J. of Lima, a daugh- ter Mrs. Jean Ann Peavy of Reno, Nev., seven grandchil- dren, and one great grandson. A brother preceded him.
He was a graduate of Ohio State University college of dentistry and served as a major in the U.S. Army Dental Corps in World War I, a life member of the American Dental Association, past president of the Ohio Dental Society, first commander of LaRue American Legion Post 101, past master of LaRue Lodge 463 F and AM, 32nd degree Mason, past mayor of LaRue and a member of the Marseilles Presbyterian Church.
Dr. Thuma practiced dentistry in the LaRue area for flyer 50 years.
Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Richard A. Koster officiating. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery.
