100 McCormick St., LaRue She died Aug 22, 1973 at 2:45 p.m. Wednes-day at Hardin Memorial Hospital after a six-week illness. She was born July 12, 1888, near New Bloomingotn to John and Louisa (Schmidt) Scherger. She was married March 9, 1912, in Marion to Lawrence A. Tiiton, who survives. She was a member of the LaRue Baptist Church, the Baptist Missionary Society, the Embroidery Club of LaRue and a 50-year member of the WCTU. She was a school teacher for six years in Marion County before her marriage. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Hyacinth) Scha-ber of New Bloomington; two grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Burkhead of Prospect. A brother, three sisters and a daughter Eileen are deceased. Services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue by the Rev. O'Neil Phelps, with burial in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 tonight and Friday afternoon and evening. | |||
