The former Prospect resident died at 2:50 a.m. Sunday Jan 28, 1974 at Marion General Hospital. He had been ill two months.
He was born Sept. 4, 1908, in Prospect to Harry and Laura (Travis) Landon.
He was married to Carol Saum Dec. 25, 1928. She survives.
He worked for 38 years at Marion Power Shovel plant 2.
Other survivors are two sons, George of Monroeville and Roger of Ravenna; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Temple of Marion, Mrs. William (Rebecca) Maggs of Mount Gilead and Mrs. Roger (Doris) Blankenship of Rich-wood; 15 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Glenna Tillis of Marion.
A son Lou, and a sister and and a brother are deceased.
Serfices will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Prospect Funeral Home in LaRue. by the Rev. Paul E. Dobberstein, with burial in Prospect Cemetery.
Friends may call after 7 tonight and Tuesday afternoon and evening.
