He died Feb 23, 1974 at Marion General Hospital at 10:35 a.m. Saturday.
He was born Sept. 15, 1905, near Meeker to Zell J. and Dora (Eitel) Owen.
He was married to Mary Elizabeth White June 3, 1928. She survives.
He belonged to the Meeker United Methodist Church, and the Marion County Farm Bureau. He was a retired farmer who lived his life in the area.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Oldham of Mt. Victory; a son Ronald W. of Morral; eight grandchildren and a greatgrandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Jennie) Gongwer of Nevada and Mrs. Del win (Dorothy) Collins of Granville; and a brother Zell of Prospect.
A brother and a sister are deceased.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue by the Rev. Vidya Rampall, with burial in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
