Martha Jane Cook

Sept 1, 1974-Services for Mrs. Martha Jane Cook, 86, of 1853 Holland Rd., Marion, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Morral United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frederick W. Haley officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stofcheck Funeral Home this afternoon and evening. Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 tonight.
Mrs. Cook died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday in the Persinger Nursing Home following a one-year illness.
A native of Swan Creek, she first married Emmett King and later married James E. Cook who preceded her in death July 28, 1968.
Mrs. Cook held memberships ir the Mary Lenox Chapter 98, Order of the Eastern Star, the Tymochtee Grange United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Lena Mae) Steen of LaRue; a son, James Robert Cook of LaRue; a brother, Verne F. Davis of Columbus, 7 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren, and a great-great grandchild.
