Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, with the Rev. Vidya Rampall officiating, for Oliver Withrow who died at 7:20 a.m. today at Marion General Hospital. He had been ill two years.
Born July 11, 1893, son of Wesley B. and Eva Myrtle Severns Withrow, he was a member of the New Bloomington United Methodist Church, served in World War I, was a past member of the IOOF Lodge in New Bloomington, a member of the American Legion Post in LaRue and a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Marion.
He was a retired farmer.
On Jan. 25, 1920, he married Iscah Metz. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Betty) McCloskey of near Marion and Miss Kathryn Withrow of near LaRue, two sons, Norman, of near Marion and James, of Carey, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a sister, Mrs. Grace Barrett, and a brother, John, of near LaRue.
Burial will take place in the Agosta Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral anytime after 2 p.m. Sunday.
