Visitation is under way at the Bell Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, N.C. A service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cherry Point Marine Air Station Chapel in Havelock, N.C.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the LaRue Cemetery, with Jack 0. Hicks, past national Commander of the DAV giving the eulogy. Friends may call at the Stoff-check Funeral Home in LaRue after 7 p.m. Friday.
The retired Marine Corps officer died Tuesday, after being ill since January, seriously for a month.
He was born in Jamestown, Ohio, Feb. 4, 1912, to Wilbur Pearl and Maude Mae (Miller) Pulliam.
He was in the Marine Corps for 28 years, serving in the Pacific Theater in World War II and the Korean War. He had three tours of duty in Vietnam.
He retired in 1968 after going up through the ranks. He lived in LaRue in the 1930s, and was a graduate of Xenia High School.
Surviving ,are a brother, W. Harry Boyd of LaRue; a sister, Elsa Pulliam of Dayton; nieces and nephews. A sister is deceased.
