Hazel D. (Hastings) Hoopes

Mrs. Hazel D. (Hastings) Hoopes, 87, of RR 1, LaRue died Nov 30, 1975 at 5:45 a.m. Sunday Nov 16, 1975 in East Lawn Manor in Marion. Her husband, Dr. Harry A. Hoopes, a longtime LaRue veterinarian, died in February, 1974.
Many years ago, she was one of the first women ever employed by the old Marion Steam Shovel Co. She was a life member of Mary Lenox Chapter 98, Order of Eastern Star and former member of American Legion Auxiliary, 8 et 40 and LaRue Business Women's Association.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Randall (Betty) Huffman of LaRue and 3 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue with the Rev. James Mason officiating. Burial will. be in LaRue Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday night.
