Mrs. Kannel died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the San Antonio Nursing Facility in Kenton.
She was born April 16, 1883, in Grand Township, Marion County, to Daniel and Harriet (Tyler) Hickman.
Her husband, Sidney L. Kannel, died Oct. 7 this year. They were married Feb. 8, 1903.
She was a member of the First Church of God in Marion.
Surviving are a brother, Lewis Hickman of Sterling; three sisters, Mrs. Odith Baker of Ashley, and Mrs. Zula Alexander and Mrs. Freda Hougland, both of Margate, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.
A brother, two sisters and three half brothers are deceased.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Stef-check-Ford Funeral Home in LaRue by the Rev. Ohmer Swart, with burial in Meeker Cemetery. Friends may call 7-9 tonight and 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
