Bertha M. Doan Bane, 89, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003 at the Gables at Green Pastures. The resident of Community Apartments attended Central United Methodist Church.
She was born March 25, 1913, a daughter of Marcellus P. and Mary L. Schafer Doan. Her husband, Harland Bane preceded her in death. Remain to mourn her passing are sisters, Gertrude Eastman of Richwood and Ollie Schafer and Ethel Andris, both of Marietta; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Lauer and Lydia Ferguson and five brothers, Charles, Fred, Mose, Walter and Raymond Doan. The Rev. Brian Lauzau conducted private funeral services Friday, Jan. 10, 2003 at Ballinger Funeral Home, interment was at Ridgeway Cemetery. | |||
