Clara Dorice Kolberg, 87, of Richwood died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at
Community Healthcare Center in Marion. She was a retired teacher and enjoyed teaching reading to children. She had been a Jehovah's Witness for 46 1/2 years and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Marysville. She was born Dec. 11, 1915, in Buchanan Township, Mich., to the late Ralph Arthur and Eva Susan Burrus Jones and was predeceased by a granddaughter, Deborah Whited; and on Aug. 15, 1993, by her husband of 55 years, Leo Henry Kolberg whom she married July 1, 1939. She is survived by three sons, Dean Allen (Judith) Kolberg of Fort Wayne, Ind., Edward Lee (Joyce) Kolberg of Kendallville, Ind., and Bruce Howard (Michaela) Kolberg of Englewood, Colo.; two daughters, Sharon Grace (Garland) Whited of Richwood and Peggy Sue (Don) McNew of Empire, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, Terriann Graibner, Elizabeth (Larry) Shaffer, Tracy Kolberg, Jason Nargis, Timothy Nargis, Sara McNew, Matthew Kolberg, Kristen Kolberg, Allison Kolberg and Courtney Kolberg; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Marysville and burial will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Michigan. There will be no calling hours. The Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is in charge of arrangements. | |||
