Charles F. Goldberg


Charles F. Goldberg, 72, of Richwood died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at the
VA Hospital in Dayton after an illness of 23 years.
He was a horse trainer employed by Farrington Stables. He was a veteran
of the U.S. Army and a member of VFW Post 870 and the Richwood Matinee
Club. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and working in his garden.
He was born Feb. 23, 1931 in St. Peter, Minn., to the late Ray and
Clairenda Tormane Goldberg.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Marie Hill Goldberg of Richwood whom
he married Jan. 16, 1965; a daughter, Marla Jean (R.G.) Easter of Lake
in the Hills, Ill.; three grandchildren, Tristin, Kieran and Alyssa
Easter; a brother, LeeRay Goldberg of Lake Elsinor, Calif.; and three
sisters, Jean (Sam) Miller and Joyce (Bill) Matthews of Lake Elsinor and
Arllys Buesing of Park Rapids, Minn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ballinger
Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Fred Cheney will officiate and burial
will be at the Claibourne Cemetery where full military services will be
conducted by the Richwood VFW and American Legion. Friends may call from
5 to 8 p.m. today.
