Alice Louise Issler, 82, formerly of Prospect died Thursday, Oct. 10,
2002, at Community Healthcare Center. She was a floral designer and avid gardener. She enjoyed flowers whether they were living, cut, dried or silk and enjoyed sharing them with family and friends. When she was younger, she would make all the floral bouquets for weddings by herself. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prospect, Prospect Senior Citizens and Marion Senior Citizens. She was born June 25, 1920, in Pleasant Township to the late Travis and Mabel Court Green and was predeceased by five brothers; four sisters; a son, John in 1990; and a daughter, Sue in 1998. She married Ralph Issler June 24, 1940, and he died in May 1970. She is survived by three daughters, Carrol (Tim) Hickman of Eaton, Sharry (Stu) Long of Lebanon and Donna (Rocky) Luckeydoo of Johnstown; a son, Ralph (Diana) Issler of Prospect; 10 grandchildren, David Hickman, John Hickman, Debbie Hickman Schmidt, Andrew Hickman, Malinda Long Copland, Julie Meister, James Issler, Amanda Issler, Travis Issler and Adam Issler; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, June Snively of Noble, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prospect. The Rev. Stephen S. Bull will officiate and burial will be at the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
