Ethel Alice Egger Markin


Ethel Alice Egger Markin, 98, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at Heartland
of Marysville after a three-year illness.
She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.
She was born Feb. 23, 1902, in Little Sandusky to the late Martin Van-
Buren and Alice Fedlia Brewer Egger and was predeceased by a daughter,
Ernestine Markin Stump; a son, Ralph Willard Markin; a granddaughter,
Jackie Stump; four brothers; and two sisters. She married
Ernest Willard Markin Feb. 23, 1921 , and he died in February 1973.
She is survived by a son, Larry Lee (Janet) 'Markin of Richwood; five
grandchildren, Patricia Markin Wilson, Calvin Markin, Kim Markin
Colflesh, David Stump and Dick Stump; eight great-grandchildren,
Stacy Scheiderer Barry Scheiderer, Jennifer Mitchell, John Stump,
Davey Stump, Eric Stump, Kiera Stump and Courtney DeGood; and two
great-great-grandchildren, Blake and Quentin Scheiderer; a daughterin-
law, Jewell Markin of Richwood; and a sister, Marguerite Egger
Bigley of Upper Sandusky.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ballinger
Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Phyllis Radlinski will officiate
and burial will be at the Raymond Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's
choice.
