Lew Henry Warner


Lew Henry Warner, 74, of Richwood died unexpectedly at his home
Wednesday, Feb. 7,2001.
He was an engineer employed by Peabody Galion and was a member of
the Richwood First United Methodist Church, the Union County Historical
Society and the American Society of Engineers. He was a U. S. Navy veteran serving on the USS New York in the South Pacific and was a woodworker and was active with Boy Scout troops in Richwood. He was a 1944
graduate of Worthington High School and graduated from Ohio Northern
University with a degree in engineering.
He was bom May 28, 1926, in Worthington to the late Howard and Myrtle
Warner. He married Elizabeth A. "Betty" Grove March 21,1948, and she
died June 22, 1980.
He is survived by a cousin, Art Warner, with whom he made his home parttime
and several other cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ballinger Funeral
Home. The Rev. Joseph Rhea will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Richwood First United
Methodist Church memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
