Nancy Elizabeth Lingrel


Nancy Elizabeth Lingrel, 90, died Tuesday, Oct. 16,2001, at Fairfax Nursing
Center in Fairfax, Va.
She and her husband Gaylord were engaged in farming in Byhalia for
more than 40 years. She was a member of the Byhalia United Methodist
Church for her entire life and was an active member of the WSCS. She graduated
from Byhalia High School in 1928 and attended Ohio Northern University.
She was born March 12, 1911, in Byhalia to the late Ora and Nellie Norris
Bonham and was predeceased by a son, Larry Jon Lingrel and his wife
Betty in 1962; five sisters, Margaret Baker, Winifred Harris, Sara Buell,
Louise DeGood and Hazel Headington; and two brothers, Elmer Bonham
and Robert Bonham. She married Gaylord Lingrel Nov. 12, 1934, and he
died July 7,1980.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Jerry (Sally) Lingrel of Cincinnati; a daughter,
Rebecca (Douglas) Corner of Herndon, Va.; five grandchildren, Douglas
(Kim) Lingrel, Lynne Lingrel, Amy (Geoff) Erwin, Jason Corner and Mark
Corner; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Evan Lingrel.
Funeral services will be held at 10 ajn. Saturday at the Ballinger Funeral
Home in Richwood. The Rev. Phyllis Radlinski will officiate and burial will
be at the Byhalia Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
