Marietta Birchfield

Marietta Birchfield, 87, formerly of Bucyrus and Prospect, died Thursday,
March 29,2001, at Marion Manor,
. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She was born Feb. 14,1914, in Marion County to the late Henry and Leola
A. Folk Zieg and was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Jean Miller. She married
One E. Bircnneld Dec. 28,1929, in Delaware and he died Aug. 8,1965,
She is survived by three sons, Robert (Carol) Birchfield of Prospect, Marvin
E. "Bud" (Nancy) Birchfield of Maridn'and Jerry E. '(Nancy) Birchfield
of Middleburg Heights; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and
two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Gehm-Ballinger
Funeral Home in Prospect. The Rev. David L. Hoffman will officiate and
burial will be at the Green. Camp Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6
p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Prospect United Methodist
Church memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
