Irene Emeline Gast

Irene Emeline Gast, 102, formerly of Prospect, died Friday, April 6, 2001,
at Marion Manor. '
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in
Prospect and the Missionary Aid Circle. She was also a member of Beacon
Sewing, Prospect Senior Citizens and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was born Oct. 5, 1989, in Pleasant Township to the late George and
Clara Setter Dodrill and was predeceased by a son, Paul B. Gast Jr. and two
brothers, Walter Dodrill and Lawrence Dodrill. She married Paul B. Gast
Nov. 19, 1919, in Prospect Nov. 19, 1919, in Prospect and he died in 1963.
She is survived by a son, Loren (Dolores) Gast of Prospect; five grandchildren,
Judy, Bruce, Brian and Sam Gast and Nancy Lord; and five greatgrandchildren,
Wes, Sara, Cory, Andy and Josh Gast
Funeral service were held today at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Prospect
and burial was at the Prospect Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund.
The Gehm-Baliinger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
