Vera Mae Fish, 82, of Radnor died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000, at The Arbors
at Delaware after a short illness She was a homemaker and a member of the Radnor United Church of Uirist, Radnor Grange, Prospect Senior Citizens and Delaware County Farm Bureau. She was a 4-H advisor for 25 years. She was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Union County to the late Carl W. and Nina Ferol Mather Meddles and was .predeceased by three sisters and a son Richard Carl Fish. She is survived by her husband, Carl W. Fish whom she married Oct. 6 1940; three daughters, Linda (Woodrow) Tharp of Marion, Carol (Richard) Lee of Bloomington, 111., and Lana Shoemaker of Winterhaven, Fla.; a son, Bob (Sandy) Fish of Radnor; a brother, Chester Meddles of Prospect; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Radnor United Church of Christ. The Revs. Lynn and Bob Blevins will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Grady Memorial Hospital or the church memorial fund in care of the funeral home. | |||
