Helen E. Smith

Helen E. Smith, 83, of Richwood died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at her
home.
She was a sales clerk at the former Cramer's/Uvingstdn's/Zuspan's Clothiers
and was a member of Richwood Central -Methodist Church and Plus
Ultra.
She was born Sept. 28, 1916, in Union County to the late Charles F. and
Flora L. Kramer Davis and was predeceased by two brothers, Earl and Joe
and a sister, Martha McBride. She married Howard Smith May 25, 1946, in
Delaware and he died July 22, 1973.
She is survived by a brother, Bill (Dottie) Davis of Richwood; seven
nieces, Sue Ann Bails of Phoenix, Billie Jordan, Kathie Pfister and Amy
Davis of Richwood, Lisa Kellogg of Prospect, Darlene Postell of Marion and
'Diane Lindler of Lewis Center; four nephews, Steve Davis and Jim Davis of
Richwood, Dan Davis of Phoenix and Don Davis of Marion; 18 great-nieces
and -nephews; and eight great-great-nieces and -nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Claiboume
Cemetery. The Rev. Winnie Bateson will officiate. Friends may call from
12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ballinger Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tricare Hospice or the Richwood
Emergency Squad in care of the funeral home.
