John Leonard Morris. 91, of Painesville died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at
Lake East Hospital. He was a retired freight train conductor employed by the New York Central and Penn Central railroads. A graduate of Radnor High School, he was a member of Calvary Fellowship Baptist Church in Painesville and a Watch Care member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mesa, Ariz. He was born May 20,1908. in Delaware County to the late Bert and Leona H. Evans Morris and was predeceased by a son, Larry Morris; a sister, Lucille Carvvile: a brother, Richard B. Morris and two brothers who died in childhood, Bertram and Edwin: a grandchild; and in January 1979 by his first wife, Helen Graham Morris. He is survived by his wife of 20 years. Ruby Collier Perlick Morris: a daughter, Nancy (Forrest "Bud7') Sidle of Cleveland; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters. Myrtle (Rex) Cosgrove of Noblesville, Ind., Mildred Morris of Marion and Emma Jane (Earl) Bumsarner of Waldo' Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Forrest Sidle will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the sen-ice.
