Shirley Irene Hecker, 53, of Marion died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, as the
result ol an automobile accident on Route 4 in Marion County. She was a lifetime resident of Green Camp and Marion and was a 1965 graduate of Elgin High School. She was employed at Marion Rotary Towers and formerly by the Smith Clinic and the Green Camp Post Office She was a member of the Marion Family YMCA and the Prospect United Methodist Church. She was bom May 24,1947, in Marion to Guy W. and Edna M. Miller Ellis and was predeceased by her father and a sister, LuluBelle McElroy. She is survived by her mother of Marion; her husband, Judd Hecker whom she married June 17, 1966, of Green Camp; three daughters, Carmen R Hecker, Tracy L. Swain and Heidi K. Hecker of Marion; a grandson, Jordan W. Hecker of Marion; three sisters, Janice Armstrong of Dephi N Y Gladys Notvest of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jennie Espy of Florida- five brothers, Scott (Donna) Ellis of Harpster, Bill (Joyce) Ellis of Fort Worth Texas John (Mary) Ellis of Rossford, Guy W. (Sandy) Ellis Jr. of Bucyrus and Marvin Ellis of Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Prospect United Methodist Church. The Rev. David L. Hoffman will officiate and burial will be al the Green Camp Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m Thursday at the Gehm-BalJinger Funeral Home in Prospect.
