Rose Matthews

Rose Matthews, 84, of Prospect died Wednesday, May 26, 1999, at Marion
General Hospital.
She was a retired factory worker, a member of the Prospect Senior Citizens
and attended Prospect Baptist Church.
She was bom Aug. 24, 1914, in Radnor to the late Robert and Daisy Congrove
Chancy and was predeceased by a brother and two sisters. She married
Henry Matthews July 13, 1935, and he died Aug. 23, 1985.
She is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Mehaffey of Ashley, Carolyn
(George) Moser of Prospect and Audrey (Tom) Moyer of Lexington, Ohio; a
son, Robert (Ellen Sam) Matthews of Lexington; seven grandchildren; five
step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; a
brother, Robert Chancy of Ocala, Fla.; and a special relative, Gene Chancy
of Ashley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.ra. Saturday at the Prospect Baptist
Church. The Rev. Harv Strickland will officiate and burial will be at the Radnor
Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today. .
Memorial, contributions may be made to the Prospect Senior Citizens.
