Charles "Bill" Adkins

Charles "Bill" Adkins, 69, of Richwood died Monday, Jan. 19,1998, at his
residence after having been in failing health for two years.
He was a machinist for the Eaton Corporation in Marion.
He was born April 30,1928, in Scioto County to the late Ralph and Grace
Porter Adkins and was predeceased by four sisters and a brother.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi "Francine" Johnston Adkins whom he
married Jan. 8, 1951, in LaRue; three sons, Darrell Adkins of Green Camp
and Martin Adkins and Keith Adkins of Marion; a daughter, Tannya Straw of
Richwood; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters,
JoAnn Davis and Wanda Harris of Marion and Roberta Macklin of Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held-at 11 sun. Thursday at the Ballinger Funeral
Home in Richwood. The Rev. Douglas A. Dowson will officiate and burial
will be at the Prospect Cemetery-. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m
today. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or
American Heart Association.
