Winifred Marie Rodgers, 80, of Prospect died Friday, June 6,1997, in Delaware
County as the result of a two car auto accident on Roule 203 near Prospect She was retired after 15 years as a clerical worker at Fulfillment Corporation of America in Marion. She was a graduate of Radnor High School and a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church and the Methodist CCL, Order of the Eastern Star #69, Prospect Senior Citizens and Mill Creek Golf Club in Ostrander. She was born Jan. 25,1917, in Union County to the late Edwin and Vema Evans Thomas. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Ronald Thomas, and a sister, Marjorie Hagaman. She is survived by her husband, Rex L. Rodgers whom she married June 6, 1937, in Dayton; two sons, Robert "Buck" Rodgers of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Tom "Bob" Rodgers of Fountain Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Joyce (Joseph) Timmons of Blue Ash, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Lowell Thomas of Waldo and Paul Thomas of Caledonia; and four sisters, Joan Jordan and Freda Waddell of Delaware, Dorothy Newell of Waldo and Marguerite Wetzel of Marion. Funeral services will be held all 1 a.m. Wednesday at the Prospect United Methodist Church. The Rev. David L. Hoffman will officiate and burial will be at the Radnor Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p jn. Tuesday at the Gehm-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect Memorial contributions may be made to the Prospect United Methodist Church memorial fund. | |||
