Lester William Krebehenne, 79, of rural Marysville died unexpectedly
Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1997, at Memorial Hospital of Union County. He was a retired carpenter and was also retired from International (now Navistar). He was a horse trainer for many years and was a member of the Phansburg United Methodist Church, OHHA, USTA and ihe Richwood Matinee Club. He was a former member of the Union County Fair Board and was a 4-H advisor for many years. He was born July 12, 1918, in Champaign County to the late Frank and Mabel Rong Krebehenne and was preceded in death by a son, Dale Krebehenne, two great-grandchildren, two brothers and a sister. He married Mildred Cunningham July 25, 1939, and she died Feb. 1, 1988. He is survived by two sons, Larry (Pat) Krebehenne and Daniel (Patti) Krebehenne of Richwood; two daughters, Joyce (Harold) Ferrell of Urbana and Linda Thrush of Plain City; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Krebehenne of Urbana and Ray Krebehenne of Springfieldand three sisters, Levada Killinger of California, Gladys Killinger of Arizona and Mary Bowers of Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ballinger Funeral Home m Richwood. The Rev. Scott Nichols will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Fri- Pallbearers will be his grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be his close friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Richwood Matinee Club or Richwood Emergency Squad Association. | |||
