Helen Hester Farrington


Helen Hester Farrington, 96, of rural Richwood, died Sunday, Nov 30
1997, at her home.
She was dean of girls at the Soldiers and Sailors Home in Xenia and was
retired as a teacher in the Marysyille schools. She was of the methodist faith
and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and Daughters of the
American Revolution. She was an avid horse racing fan, a follower of Rambling
Willie, "The Horse That God Loved," and a supporter of her nephews' careers.
Shfe was born March 10,1901, in Union County and was preceded in death
by her parents, William and Nelle Bradley Lawrence Farrington; a brother;
and two sisters.
She is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Rod and Jean Farrington of
West Mansfield, Dick and Dorothy Farrington of Florida, Bob and Vivian
Farrington of Chicago, Brad and Pat Farrington of Richwood, Tom and Marilyn
Pugh and Sue and Floyd Carpenter of West Mansfield and Carol Doemland
of Buffalo, N.Y.
The Rev. Bryan Meadows will officiate at graveside services at 11 a.m.
Tuesday at Oakdale Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.  Memorial contributions may be made to Mobile Meals or Marysville or
Delaware Home Health Care.
